If you want to try something unique
try planting these warm season vegetables in small peat pots in a soil trench
in the garden covered with plastic. Warm up the trench with plastic first
before you put them in the trench. I will post some pictures.

| After March 15 or last danger of frost the lower leaves on the tomato plant are removed, the soil in the trench is collapsed around the stem and a hole cut in the plastic to allow the plant to emerge. I usually leave the plastic and mulch. |
